July 3, 2011 / 22:49 another sketchbook
I have to count once, how many sketchbooks do I already have, because people keep asking me. I answer «a lot». I guess, around 25-30. Every sketchbook is really different, some are old are from the art academy, some — from travel, from work, and they contain all the interesting things I can find and stick or draw. I carry my sketchbook everywhere with me and really feel it is kind of my «home», my private space, where I can hide while drawing. So, I invite you to see my inspiration, sketches and the way of thinking.

Recently I got an old Chinese comic book from my friend, and was really inspired by it’s main character, Sun Wukong (the Monkey King):

November 1, 2007 / 01:43 how did it start![]() My love for miniature have started from these two paintings. I bought them in Rajasthan, have no idea who the artist is. I wanted to buy many pictures, but they were not cheap. When you travel as a backpacker, you know that buying something means less places to travel, worse hostel, and also place and weight in your luggage. So I’ve decided «I can draw miniatures for myself»…© 2007—2012 Lena Revenko |
